Welcome to the Jefferson High School Scholarship page. The majority of the scholarships have links to the applications. Some applications are also available in the counseling offices. Be sure to read the requirements for each scholarship to ensure that you are eligible to apply for them.
This scholarship program honors the legacy of Lloyd F. Hutt – teacher and founder of LMCU. Each year, LMCU establishes a prompt for high school seniors to write about in the form of an essay and award twenty (20) $2,000 scholarships
The community foundation of Monroe County offers over 120 Scholarships yearly to Monroe County residents. Click on the link to sign-up for notifications about when the applications open.

If you are planning on going to Monroe County Community College and you have been accepted to the college you can apply for scholarships starting December 1, 2022.
Monroe County Community College offers many scholarship opportunities to students. There are a variety of scholarships available, so we encourage all students to apply. When applying for scholarships that require the student to have financial need, he/she must fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), outlined on the How to Apply page.
Are you interested in a career in Cosmetology? Are you a high school senior with a passion for the beauty industry? Are you always admiring the color and haircuts on those around you? This scholarship can be used for a 2024 Cosmetology Program at Douglas J Aveda Institute.
A total of 12 college scholarships at $1,000 each (a total of $12,000) will be awarded throughout the communities Directions serves. Students are encouraged to submit their applications now through March 16, 2024. Be sure to read all of the requirements on the scholarship before applying.
Jefferson Community Scholarships (Deadline: March 22nd, 2024)
Below are the list and applications of local scholarships that will be offered this year to students at Jefferson High School. You may either print off the PDF application or pick one up in the counseling office. All scholarships are due March 22nd, 2024 (last day before spring break). No late applications will be accepted. Be sure to read all of the requirements on the scholarships before filling out the application.
At LinkedIn, one of our core values is to “Dream big, get things done, and know how to have fun.” The Possibilities in Tech Scholarship supports the big dreams of future talent from backgrounds who have been historically underrepresented in the technology industry. The scholarship will provide financial and development assistance to students entering the field of Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Check out all the detail of this scholarship in the link.
Announcing Kelsey’s Law Distracted Driving Awareness Scholarship for Michigan high school juniors and seniors. A total of $5,000 in college scholarships will be awarded in April among 4 winning student submissions throughout the state. High school juniors and seniors are eligible.
Dr. Lupini has been running his scholarship program over 20 years in order to promote higher education within the community that has supported his career. The Scholarship Program offers the opportunity to support the college costs for graduating high school students. Two $1000.00 scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis to graduating seniors from the local area. The scholarship money can be used for tuition, books, fees, housing, or related school expenses.
Michigan Retailers Foundation, established in 1968, provides college scholarships annually to benefit retailers and their employees and families. The foundation is a nonprofit educational organization established by Michigan Retailers Association (MRA). To be eligible, the student applicant or a parent or guardian must work at a business that is a member of MRA. Twelve awards worth $3,500 will be given out in 2023. Students must have at least a 2.5 GPA and plan on attending a post-secondary institution in the fall of 2023 in the US or Canada are eligible for this $500 scholarship.
Kiwanis Club of Monroe Scholarship (Deadline April 17, 2023)
The Kiwanis Club of Monroe is pleased to announce that we will be sponsoring a College Scholarship Program for high school seniors. The Kiwanis Club of Monroe will award a $500.00 scholarship. This scholarship honors the memory of The Honorable Michael Weipert. Print the application below and email or mail the completed documents to the address listed.
The Michigan Sheriffs’ Association Criminal Justice Scholarship was created to provide support to young adults who aspire to further their education and develop a knowledge in Criminal Justice at a College or University in Michigan. Nominations can only be made by a member of the Michigan Sheriffs’ Association. Talk to Deputy Harvey or another Sheriffs' Association member about getting nominated and check out the Michigan Sheriffs' Association website.
Monroe County Farm Bureau is again committed to providing three $750 scholarships to students from our community studying agriculture. The Betty Bliss Scholarship, Dale Lynn Mason Scholarship, and Young Farmer Memorial Scholarship will be awarded this May and local students are encouraged to apply. To qualify for these scholarships, students must be a high school senior or enrolled in post-secondary education pursuing a career related to agriculture. Farm Bureau membership is not a requirement for selection, but we always encourage membership in the Young Farmer Committee. MI Student Aid provides a "one-stop-shop" for students to file FAFSA, create a MiSSG (Student Scholarships and Grants) student portal, research student loan resources, and find information about Michigan financial aid programs.
You will need to apply for admission to attend MCCC before you can apply for scholarships. If you have never signed into the MCCC scholarship website before, you will sign up with your MCCC email to complete your General Application. Once you complete the General Application, you will be auto-matched with the scholarships that you meet the basic criteria. Please keep in mind that recommended does not constitute qualified and qualifying for any scholarship does not guarantee you will receive the scholarship.
There are lots of scholarship opportunities out there, but it can be hard to know where to start looking. Some might even find it too intimidating to begin looking at all! That’s where we come in. Big Future Scholarships
Closes February 2024
Students complete the FAFSA® form to apply for financial aid. Students must provide a screenshot of their FAFSA confirmation email if selected for the scholarship (undocumented and international students are exempt).
Apply to Colleges
Closes February 2024
Students need to apply to at least two colleges they want to attend and ensure they submit the names of the colleges to earn an entry for the scholarship.

* 100 State Winners receive a $1,000 scholarship

* 2 National Winners receive a $10,000 scholarship
Required to have a weighted GPA of 3.0 or better, participation in at least one sport, and demonstrated leadership at school and in the community.
Robert and Pam Currey Endowed Scholarship
Seniors with a 3.0 or higher GPA considering Michigan Tech, and are looking to study business, please apply for this scholarship.
Brooks Law Group also provides a $ 1,000 car accident injury scholarship to any high school senior or current undergraduate student, in the U.S. college or university, which will be beneficiary for students.
Each year the Monroe County Radio Communications Association awards a scholarship to one lucky high school graduate who excels in the field of electronics, electrical engineering, or computer science. The scholarship is awarded based on need and merit. The "Chuck Dewilde Memorial Scholarship" is named after Charles Dewilde, an amateur radio operator with the callsign, K8LYY. He was born, raised, and spent his entire life in the Monroe area. More information and requirements are available in the link above and in the attachment below.
